Durability Rating Scale

How does the luggage your looking at rate?  This simple scale from 1-10 can give you a quick reference on how we rate the durability of each line of  luggage, travel gear, or pack based on:*
  • Materials (fabrics, metals, zippers, locks & latches, wheels, etc.)
  • Structure & Design (wheel housings, handle systems, and frame design and other workmanship related areas)
  • Warranty (length, customer service by the manufacturer, company longevity)
  • Damage records, and repair knowledge.

10  - For you who travel is part of your life, look for this rating to get the best in durability. Uses the best materials and structure available on the market and has very

little problems and the best warranty (usually lifetime).  View list

9    - For an extremely durable product, yet not the best, can withstand any type of traveling. Uses most of the best materials, well structured, very few problems, and usually has the better warranty. (usually lifetime) View list
8     - For a very durable product for most traveling and longevity. Uses most of the better materials, Upper middle in structure, few problems, very good warranty. View list
7    - Durable upper middle product for the occasional traveler but having longevity.  Materials are fairly durable, average structure, few problems, good warranty. View list
6    - Middle of the road product for the occasional traveler. Materials are average, average structure, some workmanship problems, fair warranty. View list
5    - Average product for the seldom traveler. Average materials, less structure integrity, some workmanship problems, fair warranty.  View list
   - Lower middle product for the seldom traveler. Good materials yet lacking, less structure integrity, fair workmanship, fair warranty.  View List
3    - Lower end product for the seldom traveler.  Lower end material, poor structure, lesser workmanship, less warranty.
2    - Low end product for those who never travel. Low end materials, bad structure design, low end workmanship, less warranty.
1    - Bottom of the line product ( cheap stuff) for a disposable product.
